Arthur John Egerton Warburton was born at Northwood, in Middlesex, on the 15th of May 1895, the eldest son of Dr Arthur Warburton MD and Evelyn (née Maddock) of Berynabor Street, East Molesey.

He attended Shrewsbury House and was part of the team which won the St David Shield for Shooting in 1908 (See below).

He was known as Bob. He enlisted at Camberwell and served from August 1914. He died of Influenza, in Greece, on the 14th of August, 1917 - aged 22 years.
