Information:

Wilfred Andrew Carmichael Boodle was born in 1899, the son of Charles Wilfred Boodle and Dorothy Mary Alice Boodle and was baptised in Surbiton on the 14th of May, 1899.

 

He attended Shrewsbury House School and received Honours in 1913 (See picture below). He then attended Eastbourne College in 1914.

 

During World War One, he served in the 5th Battalion, Royal Fusiliers with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant.

 

In 1929, he married Catherine M (née Slattery), in Shipston on Stour, Warwickshire.

 

In the Second World War, he served in the Intelligence Corps (GS0II). He received the Legion of Merit (USA) in 1945.
